How To Become One Of The Worlds Largest Companies? Good Ethics

Google behaving itselfIt’s funny, one of the largest companies on earth and everyone seems to like them, or at least not hate them as much as other large companies. Normally when a company gets big/huge peoples attitudes to them change and they start to become almost detested. This is normally because large companies have share holders to please, and that means they normally reflects very badly on please anyone or anything else.

So when a company comes along and Say’s no to that way of operating or at least in a way that is vastly reduced, it is very refreshing. Google, I personally have no qualms with them, and this is a real compliment by me. Most companies that have ever become large enough for me to know about, are normally put straight on my list of companies to one day crush. Surprisingly Google has done very well to keep it’s name off that list, and the secret has finally come out, it’s all down to their ethics.

They have a company wide motto (Not official, but known by most employees) of “Don’t be evil”. So simple and yet so powerful, and in turn has made them very, very, very successful. I feel Google has realised the power of the public and they know they have to keep a very good persona, and not just a false image like most large corporations.

I let you know this, so you indigo children who will set out to change the world of business will seek to do things in the right way and not fall victim to the way society has allowed corporations to ruin so many peoples lives around the world. Use good ethics and beyond all else keep integrity, with that you will be more powerful than you will ever know.

Google Suffers Self-Inflicted Blackout, In Support of Earth Hour

It’s just that it has decorated it’s homepage black in support of Earth Hour this evening. We reported on earth hour a couple of weeks ago (here) and it seems it has pulled in some big supporters.

Some ignorant websites have been creating a fuss about how they don’t want to stop the use of their electrical equipment, because it would mean creating a mild impact upon their lives. But the vast majority have been in support of event with Google turning it’s entire site black for the day. This alone does not do much in itself to contribute to the Earth Hour movement, as to participate Google should have shut down there entire site for an hour. Can anyone really see that happening though? But they are doing pretty much the next best thing; Raising Awareness!

By them making their site black it will inform people of what is going on. Then the quadrillion-bazillion people that use Google will have the knowledge and potential to turn off their lights for an hour, saving the planet a little.

Thank you Google.
