The Home of Indigo Children

We reported last month on how since the fall of Castro, Cuba has begun to see a wave of electrical products and consumables beginning to be allowed into the country, after years of restrictions including DVD players and computers. But now, the humble Cell phone is to make an appearance as a legitimate item of sale in Cub, cementing the electrical invasion of Cuba as near enough complete.

The cell phone, is arguably one of the most harmful of products to begin it’s invasion. With still yet un-concluded research having been done on the effects upon the human brain. Not only the physical effects but also the sociological effects are a main downside to the public release of mobiles. I only hope the Cuban people are strong in there morals and traditional values and do not feel the need to change as a result of this influx. Which ultimately could lead to mass materialism, which ends up leading to detachment and unhappiness.

Wait and see hey, only time will tell how this pans out.

Arguably the only successful country to adopt communism, has now succumbed to the Capitalist pressures under the retirement of Castro.

With DVD’s and computers allowed for import, for the first time things don’t look good for an economy that has got by with cigars and a relatively simple life for so many years. Who knows maybe those fun loving Cubans, will manage to find a balance with the past and the influx of shinny new toys? But I’m guessing what will spell the end for defendant is the day when McDonalds sets up shop and invents the Mc Cuban Sandwich. All you indigo cubans,
