Resolve Conflict in Your Life

resolve-conflict Resolve Conflict in Your Life

There has probably never been a time where there has been so much fear and conflict across the world, not just across oceans and borders but across the breakfast table. In fact many now prefer conflict to peace, as they become addicted to the actions of anger and aggression, and the adrenaline rush which results. They don’t really want conflict to end, in fact, they will say that some conflict is good to get things done and stimulate change. They are not aware that they are killing themselves. All conflict is simply a symptom of attachment to a position. And as we know, this generates fear, and fear, if allowed to stay, eventually kills it’s host. All solutions are based on detachment or letting go. But that will be difficult until we can see that all possession is an illusion, that we have nothing to lose and that there are no victories in winning.

“The cultivation of generosity is essential to counteract our tendency to guard our possessions and even our energy too closely.

The practice of giving helps us to overcome our habit of miserliness, which we tend to justify by asking. ‘What will I have for myself if I start giving things away?’”

“Negative thoughts and emotions obstruct our most basic aspiration - to be happy and to avoid suffering. When we act under their influence, we become oblivious to the impact our actions have on others: they are thus the cause of our destructive behavior both toward others and to ourselves. They are the very source of unethical conduct.”

Man Do People Get Touchy With The Whole God Question!

god Man Do People Get Touchy With The Whole God Question!Being an indigo child I want to help where I can. If possible I will also have some fun while I’m at it. So I headed off to the local google group on Atheism Vs Christianity and tell them they’re both wrong! I wish to state, I do not believe any belief is correct or incorrect, I just want to see how people accept another point of view.

My Question was  ‘What if your Both Wrong? What if there is a God but he is not Christian?

I knew this would draw a crowd of ‘I’m right you’re wrong’ kind of folk, and then proceeded to explain that everyone is entitled to their own opinions and that beyond doubt, no one will ever know whether god exists or does not exist. Boy did they not like this. They kept trying, to explain to me how the other was wrong and they where correct, I think I got through to a couple but some where just so blind to what I was really asking. They where so hyped up on the ‘you’re wrong’ factor, they couldn’t get beyond it.

You can take a look at the posts here. http://groups.google.com/group/Atheism-vs-Christianity/

Feel free to contribute to the madness.

You might want to give it a go yourself. What do you need? Knowledge of a subject you are not biased in. Guts. A willingness to help when things get tiresome and good sense of Humour.

Help the world whilst pissing of the ones who know a reply before you have answered. :-)
