Next Thursday, straight after the Dalai Lama gives his speech in The Royal Albert Hall London, there will commence a three mile long handshake, all the way to the Chinese Embassy. “Give Peace A Hand” as it is being dubbed, is being done with the intention to send a positive message to the world for meaningful Dialog between Tibet and China.

I hope this manages to achieve it’s goal, and sets a clear path for an end to the current situation and the beginning of a new peaceful relationship between the countries.

Just a day after admitting to the world of it’s police force shooting protesters in Tibet, China is hit by an earthquake measuring 7.4 on the richter scale. Im sure this is not what we would have wanted to have seen happen, but this is how Karma works upon nations. And as much as continued violence and unrest in Tibet is going to be bad for the people of Tibet, it will also have consequences on the people of China.  I doubt this blog is allowed in China, especially in our supporting the Tibetan people but I only hope the people rise to this awareness of their own accords, and make a stand and stop the Goverment inflicting any more in justice.[Via Sky News TV]

Here we go people, a way for us to make our voices and opinions heard.

Yes you may deem it as only a petition, but this petition is better than not doing anything. Tibet is so closed off from the world, it has been easy in the past to have a hold on the information leaving the country. However with the advent of cameras in every ones pockets and the world becoming smaller logistically smaller, it has been easier for the injustice’s taking the place there to be revealed to the rest of the world.

Pressure is mounting on China to resolve this issue diplomatically instead of hostile military action like in the past. Simply showing our disapproval of the situation may be enough to force a resolution as China is becoming ever more present in world politics and as a result is having to pay attention to other country’s opinions.
